  • From the viewpoint of numerical computation, various forms of 1-D unsteady open channel flow equations and conservativity of their differences schemes are analysed. Based on the discussion, the authors summarize the approaches and principles for constructing conservative difference schemes for the equations,and propose practical techniques such that conservation can be achieved exactly or approximatley.
