A Study of Water Quality Index System for Water Supply

The paper describes the formulation ofwater quality index to evaluate the level of pollution.The developed index system includes the water quality assessment standard,the calculation method and the water quality meaning of index.The water qualityindex system combines the advantages ofwater quality indexes from several countries such as China,U.S.A and former Soviet Union,and isreasonable and simple to practise.
