Abstract
The flow velocity distribution in circular ecology channel is investigated.The flow field is simulated by employing the κ-ε turbulence model in cylindrical coordinates.The comparison of the computational results and the experimental data shows that the computation is reliable.The results can be employed to analyze the movement of the snails in the flow.The experiment on the sensitivity of Oncomelania to flow velocity is important to research into the diffusion of Oncomelania with water flow.
