Concept of ecological water requirement and its estimation method

The concept of ecological water requirement is presented,and the essential principles and the estimation method for ecological water requirement are discussed.The framework is demonstrated by an application to the Weihe River basin,which ecological water requirement is estimated as 39.80×10⁸m³.Some prospects of this field are also presented.
