Abstract: Computing expression for the characteristic parameters of a river crosssection including flow Q,silt discharge Q₅,silt concentration S and depth (H) width (B) ratio H_b is developed in the paper.The variation of cross-section and its expression are also discussed.The paper indicats that the usual relation,√B/H widely used needs to be further improved in expressing the variation of cross-section morphology.
