Thixotropy of Bingham Fluid and Drag Force Flowing around Sphere in the Fluid

  • 摘要: 通过推导和实验,建立了宾汉触变流体的屈服应力及不沉降最大球体直径随浑水静止历时增长而变化的公式;建立了宾汉触变流体运动的Navier-Stokes方程,求解该方程时,导得了球体在宾汉触变流体中沉降时的绕流阻力及阻力系数公式。用各种来源的宾汉触变体浑水的流变试验资料及X射线屏幕上观测球体运动的试验资料验证上述公式,取得了良好的结果。

     

    Abstract: The thixotropy of a Bingham plastic fluid and the law of drag force flowing around a sphere in the fluid are studied in this paper. Through theoretical derivation and experiments,the formulas calculating the yield stress of Bingham fluids with thixotropy and the non-settling maximum sphere diameter of increasing with the duration of the fluid at rest were obtained. The Navier-Stokes equations of Bingham fluids with thixotropy were developed. By solving these equations,the formulas of the drag force and drag coefficient flowing aroung a sphere in Bingham fluids with thixotropy were derived also. Using data of rheological experiments with various slurries and of a sphere motion observed on X-ray screen,the above equations were verified with the results that the calculated values are in good agreement with the experimental values.
